BE NICE TO PEOPLE (D)

I recently caught the remake of Carrie and then have been listening to the musical (...) and then finally read the book (review here).

Then this:

Devil Who Dares (D)

I did this as a sketch but wasn't totally satisfied with the likeness es so I used it as an excuse to do some painting practice.

I think they look a little more like them now.
Then that was fun so I did this:

And then I couldn't stop myself so this happened.
 Someone please stop me.

They're a Bunch (D)

I meant to post this a few weeks ago.  We've been rewatching the Brady Bunch movies for the first time in at least a decade and I can't believe 1) how well I remember them and 2) how funny (and dated!) they still (already!) are. It's hard to pick a favorite in this, but I really love how Carol and Alice turned out.

Unimpressed Kida (D)

Kida is unimpressed.  I'm not sure about what, but maybe because she wasn't included in the Disney Un-Disneyed lineup.
Then I did a color study because I've been meaning to paint this for like years:

Sunday Sketches: Disney Un-Disneyed X (D)

I've been posting a couple of my Disney Un-Disneyed series every week on my new Instagram art account lately, and when I was done I decided I better complete the series with the animal characters I skipped:
And then there was this P.S. while I was on the subject of animal friends, because these six classic characters were just begging to be included in the series (did you know that Pluto was originally envisioned as a bloodhound?).

Digital Sketchbook Princess (D)

Lately on my Instagram art account I initiated a digital sketchbook project, complete with spiral-bound background and a new pen Photoshop brush, since it's sometimes easier to just draw on the computer than to scan or photograph actual pages (though I still try to remember to regularly put pen to paper).  I draw lots of different things but this day I fell back into my comfort zone Disney go-to and drew some Jasmine.
Then I wanted to paint some:

Commission: Marc and Olivia (D)

I finished this engagement surprise via ArtCorgi a couple weeks ago (hopefully the question has been popped and this doesn't give the game away somehow).

I really love it when beautiful people pay me to draw them.

Flying Steel Man (D)

My reasons for doing a random Superman art on a Saturday night are manifold: 1) I did a Batman some time ago and thought this would be a fun and more colorful companion piece, 2) I was inspired by an awesome work in progress by an artist I admire on Instagram, and 3) I had that One Call Away song stuck in my head pretty much ALL DAY.
